Summary
We have an opportunity for an Animal Care Assistant to join our team at the Winsford practice. This is a temporary role to help provide maternity leave cover within the team and is expected to be required from September for a year.
The job holder will provide assistance to the veterinary nurses in the care of our patients and general maintenance of the surgery premises. On occasion they will also help to provide a professional, effective and organised client reception when required.
This is a full-time role based on working 37.5 hours per week over 4 days (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri). Rota hours are between 8 am to 7 pm. Weekend rota requirements are under review but are currently 1:6 Saturdays which are normally worked 8:30 am to 12 noon which is taken back as time off in lieu (TOIL).
Previous animal handling experience would be an advantage along with previous experience of working within a veterinary practice. Candidates must be confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills.
