About the role
An opportunity has arisen to join the popular Hairdressing team at East Riding College to cover maternity leave. There is a full time post required, however applications are welcomed from those wishing to work on a part-time basis. Therefore, the job role could be split to accommodate the existing commitments of potential applicants. As a tutor, you will be delivering a range of hairdressing topics to students at level, 1, 2 and 3, as well as participating in associated student experience activities.
About the person
The ideal candidate will have some existing experience of working within the hairdressing industry as well as previous teaching and assessment experience since this really helps to bring the curriculum alive. A formal teaching qualification is highly desirable but not essential. You will be responsible for the pastoral support of students, monitoring their attendance at all aspects of their programme, tracking and reporting on their progress against target and providing meaningful progress feedback to students, parents and the Head of Faculty.
