Job Title: Food Safety & Hygiene Officer
Salary: Competitive (dependant on experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday 40hours per week

What are we looking for
Food Safety Hygiene Officer for a Small Busy Factory overseeing the Food Safety & Hygiene for all food areas of the business the ideal candidate must have a strong mechanical background and knowledge of food safety in a manufacturing setting.
What is needed from our Food Safety & Hygiene Officer?
1.To ensure that there is ongoing compliance regarding food safety& hygiene standards.
2.To co-ordinate and ensure that audits standards are maintained and elevated in line with the company’s food safety program (SALSA)
3.To monitor and deliver ongoing statutory compliance to the prescribed legal requirements in the Food Industry.
4.Coordinating and assisting overall competency to management and employees with regards to the operational aspects of the food safety program, pest control, environmental, operational methods and personnel practices, and maintenance for food safety and hygiene /cleaning practices.
5.To ensure that all registers, records and documentation relating to Food Safety & Hygiene are properly maintained.
6.To lead by example showing due care and attention across all areas.
Due to the size and small nature of business this position will cover other areas, that may not solely be based around food safety but is just as important, where you will be required to support
1.Support in food production area either the Katsu room or in the main Kitchen
2.Help with Production Planning and implementation
3.Support with Packaging and labelling of goods.
4.Help with the removal of boxes and other items that may result in any form of contamination
5.Support with the washing, drying of food trays and plastic food storage trays i.e. prawn trays
6.Help with the cleaning of machinery and food production areas
7.Ad hoc duties as required by the factory manager.
