Summary

Working Pattern: Full-time or Part-time working hours, 39 weeks per year.We have an exciting opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join the team at Thomas Knyvett College on a full-time/part-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible in administratively supporting teaching staff and the SLT in delivery of a high quality education and environment for students. Under the instruction of senior staff, provide routine general, clerical and administrative support to the school as well as responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school.Key duties include but are not restricted to:
1. To undertake reception duties, answering routine telephone, face-to-face enquiries and signing in visitors.
2. To assist with pupil first aid and welfare, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents, staff etc.
3. Assist with arrangement for visits by school nurse, photographer etc.
4. To ensure that school displays and communications are appropriate, well presented and of high quality.
Administration
5. Provide routine clerical support reprographics e.g. photocopying, filing, faxing, e-mailing, social media posts, complete routine forms.
6. Maintain manual and computerised records/ management information systems.
7. Undertake typing, word processing and other ICT based tasks.
8. Sort and distribute mail/email.
9. Undertake routine administration e.g. registers/school meals register.
Resources
10. Operate office equipment e.g. photocopier, computer, paper, display materials etc.
11. Arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies.
12. Undertake routine financial administration e.g. gifts, resources, collect and record dinner/trip monies.
Responsibilities
13. To safeguard all pupils.
14. Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, security, confidentiality, and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.
15. To adhere to school health and safety policy including risk assessment and safety systems.
16. To appreciate and support the roles of other professionals.
17. To contribute to the overall vision/work/aims of the school.
18. Participate in training opportunities and professional development as required.
19. Undertake similar clerical duties commensurate with the level of the post as required by the Principal.
