What are we looking for?
We have opportunities for to the delivery of our sport and exercise science and sport coaching programmes as an Associate Lecturer. To be successful in the role you should have passion and enthusiasm teaching excellence and a desire to share your specialist knowledge with our motivated students.
Applicants should possess a postgraduate degree in sport and exercise psychology, exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, biomechanics, coaching pedagogy, sociology of sport, sports therapy or a related subject. Applicants should also have experience of teaching students within a Further or Higher Education setting. Teaching will be on an hourly basis and will be paid at an hourly rate of £45.91 for each hour of teaching delivered (includes payment for associated preparation, marking and course administration). Shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an interview. If you are successful at interview, and subject to pre-employment checks (as required), you will be invited to join a pool of sessional lecturers. You will be contacted by the Faculty, when your expertise is require as suitable work becomes available during the 2023/24 academic year. The number of hours available will be subject to course requirements and may be offered at short notice.
