Summary
We are recruiting a pig stockperson to provide temporary cover for an outdoor breeding unit in Norfolk.
This temporary position has a strong potential to transition into a permanent role, offering stability and growth in your career.
Your duties will include:
General pig husbandry
Assisting with the site move
Fencing
Plumbing
Moving huts, equipment and livestock
Straw carting
We are looking for someone reliable, a good team player, flexible, conscientious, and caring about the animals.
The unit needs a seasoned professional with hands-on experience in pig farming. The ideal candidate should be ready to hit the ground running and ensure a seamless continuation of our operations.
Hourly rate: From £12 per hour, plus daily travel to the farm and home.
Start date: July - Oct 2024 (Full-time).
If not local, accommodation is provided.
The chosen applicant is expected to work every other weekend.
