Job Opportunity: Pig Stockperson – Norfolk (PE37)
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 DOE

We’re recruiting a Pig Stockperson on behalf of our client for a well-run 1,150-sow, single-parity outdoor breeding unit based in Norfolk (PE37). The unit operates on a 2-week batch system, producing 5-week-old weaners.
We’re seeking a motivated and dependable team player with a genuine passion for pig welfare and livestock care. This is a hands-on role working outdoors in all weather conditions, so applicants must be physically fit and committed.
Key Responsibilities:
Feeding dry sows and farrowing
Processing newborn litters
Caring for piglets through to weaning
AI and serving every 2 weeks
Weaning and general husbandry
Strawing up dry sows and farrowing areas
Vaccination work
Operating machinery, transporting and moving pigs around the unit
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A calm and quiet approach to handling pigs
Patience and attention to detail
High standards of hygiene and animal welfare
Experience in outdoor pig production (preferred but not essential)
Working hours vary with the season and weather:
Winter: 07:00 – 15:00
Summer: 06:00 – 14:00
Weekend work follows a 1-on / 1-off rota.
