Summary
The post holder will be expected to manage and develop all aspects of the service in line with the objectives of the Health Board and in compliance with all regulatory and accrediting bodies and experience in leading a laboratory through the various quality frameworks such as UKAS and HTA is an essential aspect of this role. The Department Manager is an active member of the Pathology Operational Management Team working closely with the other Pathology leads and will be expected to represent Cellular Pathology at Health Board, Regional and National levels. 37.5 hours per week based at The Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport, however the post holder will be required to work across other Aneurin Bevan sites and attend regional and national meetings as required Applicant must be an appropriately experienced HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist. You will hold a relevant MSc or equivalent, demonstrate a commitment to CPD, have excellent interpersonal and time-management skills, be committed to service excellence and keen on exploring alternative ways to improve clinical pathways.
