The Assistant Business Partner (EDI) for has an important part to play in enabling the University to deliver on its purpose and bring its values to life and embedding the EDI strategic framework and facilitating an inclusive culture. Partnering with and supporting designated stakeholder areas, the Assistant Business Partner (EDI) enables cohesion and connectivity between the work of the central EDI Team and work undertaken in stakeholder areas, ensuring alignment and sharing of good practice. In addition to building positive, collaborative and constructively challenging relationships with designated stakeholders it is expected that the Assistant Business Partner (EDI) has a particular subject matter expertise and focus in promoting at least one "protected" characteristic and seeks to upskill colleagues in that specialism - as well as seeking to continually grow their own knowledge and understanding. The Assistant Business Partner (EDI) will be a self-motivated, independent professional with a committed, proactive, and flexible approach. They will exercise diplomacy and discretion and demonstrate integrity and sensitivity in the fulfilment of their responsibilities.
