About the role

The University is looking to appoint an outstanding qualified accountant to join its Financial Accounting team. Reporting into the Head of Financial Accounting, Treasury and Tax, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the financial compliance of the University across a range of functions such as treasury, tax and audit. You will be able to confidently assess risk and identify opportunities and provide financial information, direction and advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Experience of the Higher Education is highly desirable.

The role will require a pro-active approach to work, and demonstrable interpersonal skills to enable the post holder to build strong and effective working relationships with external stakeholders and colleagues at all levels, including senior managers.

This role is eligible for sponsorship by the University, however, your individual circumstances must meet the criteria set out by UKVI; this includes meeting the English Language requirement and earning a salary that meets the highest of either the going rate for the SOC code or the minimum salary threshold for the Skilled Worker route (£38,700 per annum).
