We are delighted to have recently been awarded Scottish University of the Year by the Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide 2024, demonstrating that we are not only one of the best universities in the United Kingdom, but one of the best universities for the world. Our people have always been at the forefront of innovation, and our past achievements inspire our current world changers.

This is a great opportunity for an Intern to join the University’s Research & Innovation Services.

The University of Glasgow is in the top 1% of universities in the world. As a world-leading, research-intensive University, the University of Glasgow is committed to helping tackle the grand challenges society faces, making a contribution to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), develop new partnerships & collaborations and deliver a lasting legacy of economic and social prosperity at a local and regional level.

In this role you will provide support across the Economic Development Directorate in helping generate the evidence base for the TIMES Higher Education Impact Rankings submission. This will include researching activity across academic, professional services and external partners.

You will be involved in research performance of other universities and corporate entities in how they report alignment with the UN sustainability goals. You will also be expected to produce presentations and written reports for the SDG oversight group, as directed and guided by the Head of SDG Impact.

You will work across the Economic Development Directorate, and work with colleagues across Government Relations, Planning Insight and Analytics, Research and Innovation, Estates and External Relations to support the THE Impact ranking submission and embed SDG impact more widely.
