Marketing Director (Automotive exposure essential) Our client is a global leading automotive data and software solutions specialist. Due to continued growth, they are currently recruiting a Marketing Director to join their UK leadership team. The Marketing Director will support growth, drive brand awareness, and create great experiences for our client’s customers and prospects internationally.
The Marketing Director will direct and manage a regional marketing team and report directly to the VP of International Marketing. Marketing Director - Accountabilities Act as a Marketing Business Partner to regional sales to define the strategy and development of business-specific marketing plans to contribute to demand generation, revenue pipeline, brand awareness & customer marketing. Conduct regular marketing and sales reviews to present the impact of marketing activities on sales pipeline, identify gaps in strategy, and collaborate quickly and impactfully with colleagues to revise marketing plans to fill gaps.
Build a regional story and narrative to positively position the brand for growth. Build an active influencer and media relations program. Establish account-based marketing programs and measure performance against target markets/accounts. Secure customer advocates, references, and case studies to support growth in the region. Collaborate with functional marketing specialists to deliver PR, events, digital campaigns, thought leadership and demand generation. Ensure alignment, prioritisation, and support of key corporate/global strategies in the region.
Effectively manage the region's marketing budget, and track ROI of marketing spend. Involve and empower a strong team of regional marketers to drive marketing initiatives and ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. Strong B2B marketing experience ideally in an international technology marketing or automotive related environment. Proven international marketing skills and experience, including, leading a regional or global marketing function.
Track record of success from marketing KPIs such as pipeline generated and marketing ROI. Proven experience setting and managing marketing budgets at scale. Excellent people management skills and ability to mentor team members in various offices and countries. Ability to collaborate and work under pressure in a fast-paced matrixed organization. Professional, positive, and solutions-oriented attitude able to shift gears between thinking and doing across a range of marketing activities.
