Crynodeb
The successful candidate will have a background within the IT sector and ideally experience with selling technology solutions (Datacentre infrastructure, Networking and Services). The candidate will however need to have sales experience and the ability to work to KPI’s and sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
· Build appropriate business relationships with allocated Dell partners; understanding and aligning with Dell’s priorities and strategies; build appropriate stakeholder relationships; establishing cross- and up-selling opportunities to help sales grow the business.
· Work with these partners to understand their goals and build a growth plan with them to ensure success
· Assist with programme management – Certifications & Accreditations, managing your Partner’s Partner Status
· Work with vendor and internal teams to facilitate successful delivery of activities from your Joint Business Plan
· Contribute to the creation and execution of marketing plans
· Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at Partner, Westcoast and Dell via phone and face to face
· Leverage and align available resources appropriately (internal sales, presales etc.)
· Candidates will be expected to be out visiting partners/vendors at least 3 days per week as a minimum. Office attendance will be required depending on how frequently you are out visiting partners, this is flexible; but minimum expectation is one day per week. This will be more frequent at the start of the role.
· Pipeline Management
o Forecasting top deals into management, liaising with Account Managers
(partner and Dell) as required.
· Opportunity Development and Closure
o Proactively work with Account Managers (partner and Dell) to increase Dell’s
Share Of Wallet within your Partner, and in the your Partner’s active customer
base
o Accelerate deal closure and grow deal size wherever possible
o Managing incentives/promotions across your Partner’s sales force
The successful candidate will have:
· Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
· A good understanding of datacentre infrastructure and the benefits of Cloud, Hybrid IT, Networking and Services
· Ability to converse at all levels of the partner, up to C-level
· History of working in a high-pressure sales environment
· Excellent organisational and time management skills
· Advanced communication skills both written and verbal
· Ability to work independently and take initiative
· Positive attitude and work well with a team
· Create business plans and strategic objectives
· Proven track record of success in a similar environment
· Good knowledge of Word, Excel and mail packages
