Summary


We have an exciting opportunity available for a Service Manager in the CT scanning Department.

You will play an important role in the Operations Team, working alongside the Service Managers, Matron, Improvement Manager and Quality, Compliance and Governance Manager who currently focus on systems, to facilitate the smooth day-to-day running of operational aspects of the service. You will have a resilient approach to provide leadership and take overall responsibility for the planning, development, organisation and management of the services within the CT Scanning Department.

In this role, you will be required to rise to challenges of continual change and take responsibility for the day to day management of the CT Department, to continually develop the service in line with the changing requirements of the NHS, referrers and patients.

We are looking for a pro-active individual with excellent people-management abilities and attention to detail. You will also have exceptional leadership and communication skills to ensure continuous quality improvement to strengthen and develop areas across the Imaging Directorate.

To provide leadership and take overall responsibility for the planning, development, organisation and management of the services within the CT scanning Department.

To provide and implement strategic plans to improve performance, and quality of service to the patients.

To develop CT services in line with the changing requirements of the NHS, referral patterns and patients.

To be accountable for the CT budget including monitoring expenditure, identifying and implementing cost improvements, capturing income and developing potential income streams through NHS, Research and Private Patient streams.

To manage and coordinate all aspects of staff management to include training, education, appraisal and research and advise all relevant staff of any CT issues.

To oversee servicing, maintenance and repair of all CT equipment in the department. Be main point of contact for the team when CT equipment faults occur, requesting engineer assistance when necessary.

To support the Professional Head of Imaging in the effective delivery of management duties for Imaging.
