About the Job
As People Support Officer you will work within the People Team which covers a wide range of people related (HR operations) work with a strong focus on improving management capability and skills, learning and development, recruitment, diversity and inclusion, nurturing talent and supporting wellbeing. You will be instrumental in supporting the People Team and the wider Agency by delivering tasks and activities centered around the employee lifecycle.
Our work is varied and far-reaching across the Agency and is focused on enabling GIAA to meet our objectives whilst supporting every individual who make us a fantastic place to work. As such, your role will be interesting and provide you with the opportunity to develop a diverse skillset and engage with all areas and levels of the Agency. You will ensure our work supports and adds value by collaborating and building relationships with colleagues across the organisation. You will also have the opportunity to learn and contribute to improving the employee lifecycle through sharing your own ideas and suggestions.
About You
This is an excellent starting point for an aspiring HR professional and equally an opportunity for somebody with a proven administrative background to apply their skills to a new area of work.
Key to this role is passion for supporting people and a proven ability in administrative functions. Working in the People Team, you will be the primary contact for people enquiries therefore you will need to handle sensitive information and provide advice, as such you will need to be supportive, have strong organisational skills and the ability to use initiative to manage a range of administrative tasks.
Additionally, you will be required to undertake some decision making based on the analysis of diverse sources of information and data. Partner and customer focus will be essential to deliver tasks and activities to support the wider People Team with organisational change, policy and process improvements.
As an entry point to a career in Human Resources this post provides an ideal grounding to develop experience as an HR generalist. A professional qualification is not essential but there would be an opportunity to undertake a CIPD qualification.
