We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated individual, to take on an exciting new opportunity in the role of Support Worker. The individual will be based at Barrack Street Project. This is a partnership with South Lanarkshire Council and as part of this project we are looking to recruit members of staff from our external candidates and/or existing teams to support Ukrainian Refugees seeking safe and secure accommodation.
Barrack Street Project will provide safe and secure emergency accommodation for 150 individuals. Staff will be required to engage with Language Services where there may be any barriers.
Key Responsibilities:

Make positive life choices and achieve the best possible outcomes.
Improve Access to Health and Social Care Services
You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the service, managing a caseload of clients with the overall goal of supporting them to access all links to support.
Provide tailored support to those using the service to meet individual need and aspiration, with people being able to choose, as far as possible, what, how and when support is delivered.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative, sector-leading and uniquely collaborative way of working with our partners. To succeed you will need to have the ability to work independently and be comfortable as a lone worker, when required, with a good knowledge of the relevant protocols and safety precautions. You’ll be able to maintain passion for working with individuals who have had to flee their own home.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate and/ or hold:

Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a related field or be willing to work towards
Experience of working with vulnerable clients in this field
Knowledge of the benefit system and an understanding of supported housing funding streams and reporting requirements
