Summary

Nutfield Church Primary School is a one form entry Voluntary Aided school and an important part of a village community. We are proud of our school, where children are enthusiastic, staff are dedicated, and parents and carers are supportive. The school is set in extensive grounds which is an ideal setting for our children to play; we encourage outdoor learning through our Wellbeing curriculum and the development of our on-site farm. Farm Development has gone well and our Outside Learning plan is in well under way! We are ready to enter Phase 2 of our plan which involves extending our farm and establishing this as a central part of our curriculum offer. We are now in a position to appoint a part time, Outside Learning/Specialist Inclusion TA (Farm Manager), to join our inclusion team and to provide opportunities for children to access therapeutic support through our onsite farm. Initially this appointment will be fixed term until 22nd July 2025. However, it is likely to be extended.
Our Farm Manager’s main role will be to:
    1. To contribute to the main areas for development of the Inclusion Team 2. Provide opportunities for children to access therapeutic / SEND support particularly for children with ASD and/or SEMH 3. Support children from all year groups in learning about the animals and animal husbandry 4. Work with the staff team to expand our farm provision 5. Organise the work of and work alongside our Farm’s parent and carer volunteers 6. Support the small group of older children who will be 2024/25 Farm Managers in their duties

    The post of Farm Manager will be: 2.75 hours per day, for 5 days per week, term time only. The hours will be 9am – 10.45am, 11.00am – 12.00pm. These hours and times can be flexible. Pay is under the Surrey Pay Scale Grade 3, currently £23,576 pa (pro rata to £7,548.07 pa for 13.75 hours per week, term time only).
    Midday Meals Supervisor: The successful applicant will also be expected to join our Midday Meals Team. The hours for the post of Midday Meals Supervisor are 1 hour per day (from 12.00 – 1.00pm), for 5 days per week, term time only. Pay is under the Surrey Pay Scale Grade 1/2, currently £22,599 pa (pro rata to £2,631.01 pa for 5 hours per week, term time only).
