Our last Ofsted rating in February 2024 was a solid 'Good', with the inspector stating " Children are confident and happy in this extremely nurturing environment. The home-from-home feel and the strong relationships children have with staff help them to thrive at nursery and feel emotionally secure."

This is in no small part owing to the passion that our team have about what they do. They care deeply about the little people they look after and work closely with parents, keeping them updated regularly about their child's progress and the next steps in their learning, as well as helping them understand how to be involved in their child's learning and support this at home. Our sole aim is to provide the best care and learning outcomes for the children.

We always aim to provide a warm, welcoming environment, and pride ourselves on our creativity when it comes to provision of activities, that challenge children to learn. We have great links within our local community and make good use of the local area to help enhance learning opportunities for children.

We work effectively with outside agencies to support our children who have special educational needs (SEN) and/or disabilities and apply consistent strategies to support children, as well as promoting positive behaviour. This shows in the behaviour of the children in our care, who are well behaved and form strong and secure bonds with our people.

Please ensure that you have read the job description and person specification and that your supporting statement reflects these, as your application will be assessed and scored against these criteria.

If you're looking for truly satisfying work, in an environment that is friendly and fun, with support and leadership that's second to none. Please get in touch, we'd love to tell you more about working with us.

Why did the banana go to the doctors?

Because he wasn’t peeling well… if this didn’t make you chuckle this might not be the right job for you ;)

Do you possess the magic and sparkle that makes every child feel special?

Can you pretend to be a cat or a Prince at the drop of a hat, while eating a birthday cake made of mud?

Can you read a story and sing in front of a varied audience – big or small?

Can you wipe a nose, give a cuddle and clean a table whilst helping a little person put on their slippers?

Would you be happy to be seen in public wearing playdough, lunch, slime, cornflour, paint, mud or the “unknown” on your uniform?

Do you enjoy reading “The Gruffalo” with the assistance of numerous little people who quiz you about every sentence?

Would you enjoy exploring our local environment with the children, which may include getting wet and muddy?

Do you have the ability to count small, fast moving little people?

Do you have a heightened sense of smell that can seek out a smelly nappy at 20 paces and a cast iron tummy that can manage the whiff when changing it?

If this raised a smile and you can say yes to most of these questions, you might be just the person we are looking for!
