About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate graduate to work 1:1 with pupils aged 6-16 who have special educational needs. This full-time role is ideal for graduates aiming to gain classroom experience and work with special educational needs students.
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, You Will:
- Provide additional support to students with additional needs on a 1:1 basis, as well as within the classroom and in smaller groups.
- Help students engage in their lessons.
- Support children both academically and socially.
- Keep track of pupils' progress and liaise with the class teacher and school SENCO to update on progress.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery.
Requirements:
- Recent university graduate.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- No prior experience required, just a willingness to learn.
- Ability to quickly build relationships with students and staff.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (within 1 year or on the update service) or willingness to apply and pay for one.
- Two references.
- Right to work in the UK.
