A key member of the small but dedicated Library and Archives team, the Assistant Archivist reports to and supports the College Archivist. Together the two part-time roles provide cover for the week and are responsible for the management of systems and procedures which ensure the long-term preservation and maintain the organisation of the historically valuable records.
The Assistant Archivist will work closely and flexibly with the Archivist communicating effectively to share information and agree priorities. The Assistant Archivist will be expected to develop fruitful working relationships both within and beyond the College to enable access to and help foster awareness of the College’s history and archives, fully integrating themselves into the life of the College.
This post is a part time position, 21 hours per week (with some flexibility in days and hours)
