Job Description:

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and class teachers to provide tailored support and create an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities for students with SEN.
- Provide one-on-one support to students, helping them to understand and complete tasks.
- Support students in developing social skills and managing their behavior.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Monitor and record the progress of students, providing feedback to the SENCO and teachers.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to SEN provision.

Person Specification:

Education: A recent graduate with a degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.

Experience: Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEN is highly desirable.

Skills and Attributes:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
