Summary
Duties of the Post 1. Clerking and initiation of management of newly admitted patients under the supervision of Specialty Trainees and Consultant staff. 2. Prompt assessment of patients referred for admission from Accident and Emergency and general practitioners. 3. Day to day follow-up of patients under the care of the team. 4. Prompt response to medical emergencies as required. 5. Participation on the relevant out of hours rotas 6. Attendance at regular ward rounds and multi-disciplinary case conferences with the Consultant and Specialty Trainees.
