Summary
My client is a Leading National Civil Engineering and Groundworks Company.
They are presently looking to appoint, on a long term contract basis, a Site Engineer to work initially on a Groundworks project in Cosham, near Portsmouth.
This position has an estimated duration of one year.
They specialise in the following sectors;
Groundworks
Highways and earthworks projects
Concrete and steel structures
Reinforced concrete foundations and hardstanding's
Hard landscaping
Retaining walls
Roadworks
Services installation and diversion
Demolition
Duties include:
- Setting out roads, earthworks, and drainage with surveying equipment (GPS & Robotic Total Stations)
- Manage all engineering activity providing direction to the direct workforce and subcontractors
- Quality control to ensure the standards are met in accordance to the design specifications
- Assist in producing permits to break ground (CAT Scanning management)
- Ensuring the highest health, safety and environmental standards are met on site adhering to the client's and business's requirement
- Liaise with the site team to approve materials ensuring they meet specification
- Keep accurate records of progress reports, site diaries and resource allocations
- Produce as-built drawings in AutoCAD
