Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Head of Lighting to join our Lighting Team at Curve. As Assistant Head of Department, you will support the Head of Lighting in the day to day planning and running of a busy Technical Lighting Department. You will have proven experience in all key areas of the specialism, including Rigging, Programming, Maintenance, Electrical Safety alongside experience supporting a large team of Technicians.

The role will work closely with the Head of Lighting and other key technical team members to ensure Curve’s programming of Visiting and Made at Curve productions are facilitated to the highest standard. You will be given responsibility for specific areas of the specialism matching your experience alongside independently managing projects as agreed.

This role would suit any individual with proven experience and advanced knowledge in Lighting who would like to take a step towards managing and supporting a skilled team of Technicians. You will be given space and support to develop these skills whilst still engaging in the hands-on practical day to day requirements of a Lighting Department. The role is primarily based at Curve Theatre Leicester, however from time to time you may be asked to support Made at Curve work out on Tour.
