What is the job role?

We have the following vacancy to start as soon as possible.

SEND Teaching Assistant

Whitmore Park is a ‘Good’ School with delightful pupils and an enthusiastic and committed staff. The school offers all of their staff fantastic support within a strong programme of professional development.

We are looking to appoint a person who will share our vision for high quality education for all our children and also shows enthusiasm and motivation to:

Work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff and the Special Educational Needs Leader (SENDCO) to:

Help improve educational and social inclusion opportunities and outcomes for pupils with a range of special educational needs.

To work under the instruction/guidance of teaching, senior staff and SENDCO to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to support pupils in our SEND provision room as well as in and outside of the classroom.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils and expect all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS is needed for this post. Two references will be taken up for all short listed candidates prior to interview or appointment.

Hours: 8.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday (35 hours per week), term time only, 39 weeks to include training/inset days.
