What is the role?

To provide extended personal care to the most vulnerable members of the community, in a way that supports the maintenance of the individual’s independence and dignity and offers them a positive choice in their own home.

The Grade of these posts are Grade 2 / Level 5 plus 10% non-core allowance for backshift post only.

Various working patterns available.

Available posts are as follows:

Post A - 21 hours early shift (4 on / 4 off)

Post B - 21 hours day shift (4 on / 4 off)

Post C - 10.5 hours backshift (2 on / 6 off) this post attracts a 10% non core allowance.

Successful candidates will be expected to travel efficiently and may be required to work out with normal work area and those who drive will be provided with a fleet vehicle whilst on shift and non-drivers will be given access to E bikes.

SSSC registration and renewal fees will now be covered for this role.

These posts are considered to be Regulated Work with children and protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidates will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
