Summary


Are you an experienced HRBP looking for a new challenge working alongside our medical leadership team?

Your knowledge and experience will be utilised to drive the people strategy within the medical directorate, alongside teams of specialists within the People and Culture Directorate, specifically the HR Advisory team who deal with day-to-day people management matters.

As a HRBP you will utilise data within a more evidence-based approach to deliver a portfolio of business-relevant solutions that meet the evolving needs of the organisation alongside supporting the delivery of great people approaches including complex employee relation cases, with plenty of opportunities to influence and develop meaningful relationships with key stakeholders across the Trust.

As a trusted and credible HRBP you will work closely with our Chief Medical Officer and the medical leadership team to build organisational and people capabilities, drawing on your unique knowledge, skills and experience as a people professional.

A good understanding of the medical workforce within the NHS will be beneficial, More importantly you will have the skills, initiative, attributes and passion to make a positive difference within our workforce and ultimately to the quality of care provided to the people of Dorset. This is a new and varied role where you will be part of a small and highly motivated team of HRBPs.

As the HRBP for the Medical Workforce you will be instrumental in developing the long-term business strategy and transformation plans as part of the medical leadership team ensuring consistency and compatibility with Trust-wide strategic plans.

Support and implement medical workforce plans with monthly reviews. This includes present and future establishment for all roles, identifying any new potential roles to be introduced over the next 12 months, within areas that are underperforming creating solution-focused action plans.

Lead on complex employee relations cases, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to the Trust’s Maintaining High Professional Standards policy, safeguarding procedures and in line with our Just and learning culture approach to ensure fair, compassionate and safe outcomes.

Working closely with the medical leadership team ensuring retention is reviewed regularly and plans are put in place to retain staff across the medical directorate.

Participate in selection panels for medical appointments, ensuring robust selection processes whilst addressing our diversity and inclusion commitments.

Develop and support recruitment plans for the medical workforce, working closely with others to promote campaigns to ensure we are reaching hard-to-recruit areas.
