Summary


Are you an enthusiastic Health Visitor, seeking to improve the outcomes for children and families? Our experienced team based in Bournemouth, would like to hear from you.

You will be part of a supportive team, working with our Local Authority, GP and Third Sector partners to deliver the Healthy Child Programme, plan and implement services for the benefit of the child. You will manage your own caseloads whilst working with the wider multidisciplinary care team in order to provide the best communication and patient care at all levels to the parents / carers of the child.

In return we offer a regular robust clinical, management and Safeguarding supervision, access to a dynamic learning environment for CPD and monthly Reach meetings with peers.We also offer a preceptor programme for newly qualified Health Visitors.We are committed to developing our Health Visitors within the Public Health agenda and ensure we deliver excellent quality of care within our 0-19 Children and Young Peoples Public Health Nursing Team.

The Health Visitor role is a part time position and would welcome part time applicants of 22.5 hours. We value our staff and are committed to ensuring a healthy work life balance.



To provide a high quality person centred approach to care delivery which
always considers people’s safety, privacy and dignity.

To provide specialist care and interventions, assessments, treatments
and managing patients on a caseload, as part of the wider multidisciplinary care team.

To provide specialist advice to others regarding the management and
care of patients / service users.

To devise specialist programmes of care for other professionals to
deliver and ensure they are delivered appropriately.

To plan, implement and review health improvement programmes in a
range of settings.

Provide supervision, mentorship, training and clinical support to students
and trained practitioners.
