Nailsea School is seeking a motivated member of staff to join us in this exciting role. Our mentors are involved in supporting a range of students to achieve their full potential. Working closely with the Assistant Head (Well-being & Behaviour/Inclusion & Aspiration), Heads of House, teachers and other staff, you will assist in identifying barriers to learning and deliver effective pastoral and academic support in order to raise attendance, engagement and achievement.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, supportive school and would suit someone with a background of working with young people or someone who is looking for experience of working in an educational environment.The successful candidates will need to: Promote high expectations for all students. Develop and deliver appropriate support plans to ensure that students’ needs are met. Liaise with key staff and stakeholders (including families) in order to ensure the most appropriate form of support is offered to each student. Be able to organise their time effectively.
