Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Primary SEND Teacher to join a highly regarded primary school in Nuneaton. The school prides itself on fostering a supportive environment for both staff and pupils, aiming to cultivate confident learners.
We are seeking an experienced teacher to work full-time in a reception class, planning, preparing resources, marking, and conducting assessments.
In addition to this, you will support pupils in KS1 with SEND, working closely with the SENDCO to write EHCPs, develop action plans, and attend staff meetings.
The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting and deploying SEND Teaching Assistants.
This role is set to begin in September and will continue until the end of the academic year.
Requirements:
- Relevant teaching qualification - QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Excellent knowledge of SEND provision (previous experience as a SEND Teacher preferred but not required)
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong interpersonal skills with parents, pupils, and staff
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour
- Capability to work in partnership with class TAs and other staff members
- Ability to create a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment
