Location: Projects London based, ideally be able to travel to Hemel Hempstead too.

Rullion are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Design Manager to join our client's team. The successful candidate will have a robust background in design, with a preference for those who have experience in joinery or fit-out projects. This is a permanent position with an immediate start.

Responsibilities:

  • Design Responsibilities: Working with the architects concept through to install via design workshops, RFI, Samples, product Cad packs for internal CAD technician to draw, produce and maintain schedules and tracking documents regarding design.
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop project plans, including time-lines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with internal departments (design, manufacturing, installation) to ensure project requirements are understood and executed efficiently. Liaise with clients, architects, and designers to clarify project objectives, specifications, and expectations.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring adherence to financial constraints. Prepare and present budget reports to senior management and clients as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure all joinery products meet specified standards and client requirements. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks throughout the manufacturing and installation processes.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress, milestones, and any potential issues. Foster positive relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges that may impact project delivery and develop mitigation strategies accordingly. Proactively address any issues or obstacles that arise during the project life-cycle, seeking timely resolutions to minimise disruption.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and other relevant correspondence. Generate comprehensive project reports for internal review and client presentation, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and next steps.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction or manufacturing industry, with a focus on bespoke joinery preferred.
  • Must have strong experience within the design concept.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage budgets, and mitigate risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, team members and stakeholders at all levels.
