Summary


The Pain Management & INPUT service at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Service Manager.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and bright individual who enjoys patient contact and working in a busy, friendly, multidisciplinary team environment to support us in the delivery of high-quality service.

Candidates are expected to have a good understanding of HR procedures and relevant demonstrable experience .

This is a challenging role and the ideal candidate would need to be able to deal with complex queries, liaise and negotiate with clinicians, lead on local changes and implement these changes quickly and efficiently. We are looking for an individual who is transparent , honest and possesses excellent communication skills. An in-depth knowledge of the service or experience of working in operations with leadership experience isessentialto this post.

Your role will be to operationally manage the service, provide clear leadership and ensure delivery against our performance goals. You will work closely with service leads, matrons, clinicians, managers and other staff across the Trust and in the local healthcare economy.

You will provide proven leadership and expert advice to your teams to help deliver high standards of care and a quality, patient-centred service with an ethos around continuous improvement. You will be self-motivated and able to work autonomously at pace.

You will be effective in managing your time, workload and priorities. You will be highly analytical and confident to challenge the status quo while building excellent working relationships that quickly enable you to become a trusted and credible leader across all staff groups. You will be focused on outcomes and motivated by your drive to deliver the highest quality care while ensuring the best possible patient experience.

In order to be shortlisted, you will be expected to provide succinct and clearly referenced evidence which demonstrates that you fulfil the essential requirements for the position.
