Summary


Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your speech and language therapy career in children's therapies? Come and work for Children’ Integrated Therapy and Equipment Service in the beautiful surroundings of East Sussex.

We are a highly successful integrated therapy service with a pooled budget across health and social care since 2013. Postholders will work within an integrated children’s therapy team including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Integrated Therapy Assistants, Apprentices and administrators for children aged 0-19.

Although based in East Sussex, we are employed by KCHFT which is an outstanding trust. We believe that the best healthcare is delivered by multi-disciplinary teams working together and in partnership with other teams to provide seamless care.

We provide assessment, advice and therapy for children and young people in the community with speech, language, communication and eating and drinking needs. Our focus is on enabling.

We are growing our speech and language therapy team and have vacancies in our integrated care team. We would love tohear from you and tell you more about these roles and our service.

The service is arranged into 5 teams:

The Neighbourhood Team: Supports our mainstream early years, school and post-16 college settings. We're embracingnew ways of working moving from a consultative to a collaborative model, promoting the universal offer and transforming how we work with schools and early years settings.

The Social, Emotional and Mental Health Team: Focusses on the developing field of social, emotional and mental health.We're developing teams of SLTs, OTs and ITAs who work with key schools to support neurodiversity in the classroom,working predominantly with children and young people with attachment disorders and history of trauma.

The Integrated Care Team: A multidisciplinary team of therapists and assistants who provide therapy support to childrenwith complex physical disability (including neurodisability and global developmental delay) in the community and in special schools across the county.

The Adaptations Team: A small team of Occupational Therapists who specialise in major adaptations including DisabledFacilities Grants and improving accessibility in schools for children with physical disability.

The Therapy One Point Team: Our single point of contact for accessing services relating to speech and languagetherapy, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and equipment.
