About the Role:
As an Aspiring Speech and Language Therapist, you'll join our team as a SEN Learning Support Assistant, working with children aged 4-18. In this role, you'll support a small class of 7-10 students, collaborating closely with teaching staff, therapists, and support teams. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the class teacher in providing engaging learning experiences.
- Providing behaviour and pastoral support.
- Planning and delivering tailored speech and language activities.
- Building strong relationships with students.
- Adapting your approach to meet individual needs.
- Demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ensuring the safeguarding of students in line with procedures.
- Attending staff meetings and completing necessary tasks.
