Summary


We are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to lead our Frontline Digitisation Programme providing a minimum standard for NHS Electronic Health Records to adhere to Digital Capabilities Framework to ensure Digital is at the heart of Patient Care.

Dorset Healthcare are working in collaboration with the wider Dorset and Somerset ICS's in partnership to procure a solution for all NHS Providers within the two ICS's. This is the first multi-ICS Collaborative for Frontline Digitisation which is both a highly complex landscape as well as an exciting opportunity for the staff and patients across our providers.

Ability to influence and negotiate with integrity ensuring our deliverables meet stakeholder needs, improve outcomes for people and deliver the benefits to the services, patients and wider organisation. Work effectively across organisational, technical and political boundaries with the ability to form good working relationships. Able to make complex, technical information, language simple and accessible for non-technical audiences is key.

As direct line manager you will be confident in all aspects of line management, appraisals, grievances, performance tracking and development whilst committed to our kind and compassionate leadership style.

This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.

Accountable for all programme management governance tasks keeping all key programme documentation up to date. Working within tolerance and utilising knowledge and experience from Managing Successful Programmes, PRINCE2 and Agile throughout. To work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and use an iterative method and flexible approach to enable rapid delivery and escalation where required, with the ability to delegate projects of work to delivery teams whilst staying informed and tracking delivery against the overall programme.

You will be expected to adhere to our standardised approach to produce various project documents supporting governance and engagement activities, working collaboratively with the IM&T Portfolio Team to enhance and develop this aspect.

It will be vital to align the Frontline Digitisation Programme to the strategic objectives of the Trust assuring we are scheduling within a pre-existing prioritisation process. This will include complex capacity and resource planning across multiple teams where the assigned staff are not directly employed by the programme.

A good understanding of capital and revenue management is mandatory to support the effective utilisation and tracking of funds available to ensure deliverables are within cost and scope. You will be expected to provide visibility of the work of the team to the organisation, working in an open and transparent way, creating a culture of sharing and reflective learning ensuring continuous improvement.
