Summary

**Transport Manager/Head of Fleet**

**Colnbrook (SL3)**

**£50,000 P/A**

**50 hours per week - Monday-Friday but flexibility required**

As they continue to expand and innovate, they are seeking a highly skilled Head of Fleet and Transport to join their team and lead their transportation and logistics department.



**Summary:**

Our client are looking for an experienced Transport and Fleet Manager to oversee all aspects of the transportation and fleet operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a diverse fleet of vehicles, ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing insurance, and implementing cost-effective strategies to improve efficiency and performance.



**Key Responsibilities:**


* Develop and implement strategic plans to optimise transportation and fleet operations
* Oversee the management of a fleet of vehicles, including maintenance schedules, repairs, and replacements
* Supervise driver behaviours and transportation staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies
* Analyse transport data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities, and drive change in these areas
* Negotiate contracts with suppliers and and service providers
* Develop and maintain relationships with key personnel both internally and externally
* Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
* Prepare and present reports on transport and fleet performance to senior management and the Board



**Qualifications:**


* Proven experience in transportation and fleet management, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
* Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions
* Proficiency in transportation management software and Microsoft Office Suite
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
* TM National and International CPC
