The Company:

My client, a household name manufacturing business is looking for an Operation Manager to join their team in Telford. You will drive a positive and inclusive culture. You will be accountable for achieving key performance metrics, including safety, quality, and efficiency. As the operations manager, you will collaborate with management and peers to set goals, track progress, and make data-driven decisions. You're responsible for daily operations, ensuring their team meets objectives for safety, quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will also spend time on the production floor to gather insights and identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Empowering team members through teamwork and on-the-job training
  • Developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Fostering a culture of open communication and collaboration
  • Developing and maintaining an effective organisation
  • Ensuring competent personnel in key roles
  • Implementing effective performance management and absence management
  • Participating in plant safety team programs
  • Implementing safe work practices
  • Identifying and addressing potential hazards
  • Following established procedures and guidelines
  • Implementing quality risk management processes
  • Conducting regular checks and audits
  • Identifying areas for improvement
  • Developing plans to address them
  • Implementing process improvements
  • Following GMP, HACCP guidelines, and housekeeping responsibilities
  • Implementing QRMP operating procedures
  • Participating in plant optimisation initiatives
  • Mentoring Continuous Improvement Lead and Maintenance Lead to identify improvements
  • Conducting annual plans for process improvement
  • Supporting maintenance planning
  • Conducting regular checks and audits
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Participating in meetings to drive production and improvement goals




Requirements:
