Key Account Manager - Food & Drink Industry

Are you a strategic thinker with experience in the food & drink sector?
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Key Account Manager to join to play a pivotal role in developing and managing key client portfolio within the food & drink industry. This role can be home based with monthly site visits. There will be a need to travel globally on occasion.
What you'll be doing (approx. time allocation):
- 60% - Client Management & Growth: Develop strong, long-lasting relationships with key accounts, driving targeted sales & account development activities to achieve sustainable revenue growth.
- 20% - New Client Acquisition: Collaborate with the Sales & Account Management Lead to establish and implement new client acquisition campaigns.
- 15% - Strategic Account Planning: Work alongside technical experts to plan targeted approaches for high-potential accounts within the food & drink industry.
- 5% - Reporting & CRM: Maintain accurate records of all client interactions through CRM and provide management reports as required.
Who you are:
- A self-motivated, commercially-minded individual with a proven track record of exceeding revenue targets.
- An excellent communicator and influencer with strong negotiation skills.
- Experienced in leading and developing high-value client relationships that deliver consistent year-on-year growth.
- 10+ years of strategic account management experience, ideally within a consultative, science/research, or technical environment.
- Demonstrated experience & knowledge of the food & drink sector
- A collaborative team player capable of thriving in a collegiate environment.
- A degree in science or technology (or equivalent professional experience) is preferred.
- Experience or understanding of analytical methods, science & technology as applied to the food industry is a plus.
- A full, clean driving license is required.
- Proficient in CRM systems and a strong advocate for their use to record client activities.
