Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled HGV (LGV) Class 1 C+E Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations for our reputable Warrington based client, using a commercial vehicle.
Responsibilities:
- Shifts: Night Trunker
- ADR preferred
- Safely operate a flatbed lorry to transport goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo following safety procedures
- Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations at all times
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
Experience:
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably as a flatbed or delivery driver
- Valid UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
- Up to date CPC & Digital Tachograph Cards
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Good communication skills and customer service orientation
