Join our team at the Excellent School within Reading as a Geography Teacher for KS3 and KS4. We are seeking a dedicated professional to inspire and educate students in the subject of Geography.
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons for KS3 and KS4 students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment within the classroom.
- Utilise effective classroom management techniques to maintain student focus and discipline.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) specialising in Geography
Bachelor's degree in Geography or related field.
Prior experience teaching Geography at the secondary level is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for Geography.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students to support their academic and personal growth.
- Demonstrated progression in student learning outcomes through effective teaching methods.
- Additional certifications in Geography education.
- Experience in leading extracurricular Geography-related activities.
This role is based in a school setting, with standard school hours and holiday periods. The Geography Teacher will primarily work within the classroom environment, interacting with students and colleagues on a daily basis.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
