Gillingham Street Angels is a grassroots charity founded in 2018 run by the local community, for the local community. Our mission is to support and help the homeless and vulnerable people in the Medway towns and surrounding areas no matter what the reason.
We are recruiting now for Shed Angel Activity Group Coordinators.
What do the coordinators do?
Gillingham Street Angels are hiring now for friendly and welcoming people as Shed Angel Coordinators to support and deliver our new Shed Angels Health & Wellbeing Activity Programme.
We need skilled people to provide oversight and to facilitate our new twice weekly practical ‘hands-on’ workshops for adults at our Gillingham Shed.
Ideal candidates will have experience and skills in areas such as woodwork, metalwork, electricals, sewing etc to best support the group.
Learn and share your skills with others working on community projects chosen by the group. Make a difference to peoples lives, have fun, make friends & meet new people.
Work and do-good in your community at the same time for others.
Qualities/Skills Required:
Although there are no formal qualifications or experience required for this role as we provide full training. Ideal candidates will:
· Self-motivated, enthusiastic, reliable and have a good work ethic.
· Have experience in working in a similar environment.
· Professional and composed at all times.
· Strong communication skills
· Able to work well on their own initiative and with others.
· Natural problem solver and positive attitude.
· A genuine passion for working with people and our cause.
· Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
