Early Years Practitioner - Leadership Role
Ryn Gwari Farm - Nursery, Pre-School & Forest School CIC is proud to be a not-for-profit Community Interest Company. We have a rural-based Early Years setting near St Just. We care for children from the surrounding area including St Ives and Penzance. We offer them a nurturing, outdoor-rich learning experience including weekly Forest School.
We are looking for a new, additional member of our leadership team.
We will need you to have:
- A full and relevant qualification to Early Years
- Experience working or on placement in an educational setting
- A love for the outdoors is essential alongside a willingness to get stuck into whatever may come your way!
Essential roles and responsibilities will be to:
work with our nursery management team to inspire and lead within a team; to deliver high quality inclusive early years education and care in line with our settings policies and procedures including safeguarding
be a role model for the wider staff team, modelling sensitive and responsive interaction and extending children’s learning
ensure quality and safety standards are maintained at all times.
be a proactive member of the team, providing a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
be responsible for curriculum planning within the setting in conjunction with the management team
oversee the management and running of the setting in the absence of the Managers.
Requirements:
Minimum Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification or equivalent or a relevant and full qualification for working in Early Years (see government guidance) or a commitment to undertaking this training on starting this position. We are willing to consider all starting work pathways e.g. funded training in the workplace for this role.
Post-qualification experience in working in early education and childcare or educational environment
Strong written communication skills.
The ability to inspire people to deliver results, high standards, and set clear objectives for self and the team.
Ability to be a creative problem thinker
An understanding or willingness to learn SEND assessment, procedure and practice
Desirable qualities we are looking for are:
the ability to work in a small team
the confidence to interact with families and outside agencies
enthusiasm and energy
a genuine passion/ interest in child development and children
We are open for 44 weeks of the year. The hours would be 30-40 hours per week. We value work-life balance and are able to be flexible to enable the right person to join our team.
Pay range from £12 - £16 Gross pay per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. We contribute to a pension scheme.
Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene & Level 3 Safeguarding training qualifications are required or you will be able to complete these courses through us. You will need to be able to travel to our setting near St Just.
