Summary

Main objective of the position:
Carry out machine maintenance / services / source material / spares and arrange COSSH removal from sites and yards. Maintain the specialist Bauer type machinery safely and effectively ensuring the machinery operates efficiently. Work with Bauer Equipment and BG Machines, work within the tolerances supplied by the contract management and supervisory teams. Maintain plant and equipment in good condition and work safely at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
▪ Work closely with Bauer Technologies Construction and Operations management;
▪ Planned maintenance;
▪ Request spares and service packs from SOB;
▪ Working with the Project site teams to ensure effective mechanical support;
▪ Carry out and report planned maintenance to suit the program of works;
▪ Carry out and report reactive maintenance for breakdowns/issues;
▪ Complete requisitions for all machine parts and equipment required;
▪ Support the Rig and Plant Operators in identifying issues;
▪ Familiarisation of Rig Operator and Controls and operation of Bauer rigs;
▪ Fleet servicing and maintenance records.

Key Tasks:
▪ Carry out planned maintenance;
▪ Working closely with Site supervisory teams;
▪ Responding to breakdown of machines;
▪ Work to maintenance schedule;
▪ Attending multi sites as and when required;
▪ Repair and maintain rigs to manufacturers standards.

Skills and abilities:
▪ Demonstrate a high level of skill and be recognised as an expert in their field;
▪ IT literate, Excel, Word, Microsoft;
▪ Work to the Bauer values of Excellence, Teamwork, Integrity and Respect;
▪ Work in accordance with all the relevant Bauer company policies and procedures;
▪ Strong communication skills and English speaking;
▪ CSCS Maintenance, SSSTS;
▪ CPCS Slinger Signaller or an equivalent recognised accreditation;
▪ CPCS or IPAF Mobile Elevated Work Platform or an equivalent recognised
accreditation;
▪ Full driving license;
▪ Harness trained;
▪ Extensive mechanical knowledge of Bauer equipment;
▪ Ability to work away from home;
▪ CSCS construction plant and maintenance;
▪ Self-motivating;
▪ Able to organise their activities;
▪ Able to work to and control HSEQ standards;
▪ Proven experience in heavy plant maintenance;
▪ Able to communicate clearly within the crew;
▪ Structured approach to problem solving.
▪ First Aider.

Experience:
▪ Proven experience working with Bauer Machinery;
▪ Proven experience as a specialist foundation equipment mechanic.

Desirable attributes:
▪ Bauer training on SAP;
▪ Additional CPCS card categories;
▪ Piling plant maintenance experience with BTL or other piling contractors;
▪ Experience in more than one piling discipline;
▪ GCSE English & Maths (or able to demonstrate a reasonable level of literacy and numeracy).
