Summary

Key Accountabilities (All Accountabilities will be carried out in line with policies, procedures and relevant regulations and legislation)
Provide high-quality person-centred support to enable and empower clients to develop the skills necessary for
independent living within legislative, and regulatory requirements and best practices.
Establish professional relationships with all clients, using appropriate and clear communication to promote independence through developing daily living skills and social engagement, ensuring that clients maintain personal choice, privacy and dignity.
Contribute to the economic viability of schemes and services by assisting with budget setting, managing voids to achieve optimum occupancy levels, minimising rent arrears and maximising income from managing agents.
Provide an intensive housing management service to enable clients to maintain their tenancy, stay safe, and understand their rights and obligations under their tenancy.
Assist clients in understanding and planning their support package, focussing on positive outcomes to maximise clients' potential and enable them to exercise choice and control.
Provide advocacy to support clients and their families when required, to maximise clients' independence and personal potential.
Liaise with relevant external agencies to ensure the maximum support is delivered to enable clients to access and maintain a level of integration within the wider community.
Manage the implementation of safeguarding principles and responsibilities to ensure clients' safety and avoid potential risks to stakeholders and the business.
Promote safe practices and undertake risk assessments within legislative frameworks and business protocols, escalating issues as appropriate.
Contribute, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group’s objectives.
Qualifications and Attainments (or knowledge and experience at an equivalent level) Essential
Literacy and numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C English and Maths
NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards
Skills Required
Good understanding of written and spoken English
Good communication skills
Good interpersonal and customer care skills
Ability to demonstrate a positive and accepting approach to clients whatever their needs
Ability to keep accurate records and communicate relevant information
Ability to make accurate simple calculations
