How you will make Plan Zero happen…

We are looking to hire a leader to join our Plan Zero Leadership Team, reporting into our Head of Energy Optimisation to drive operational efficiency and enable the next level of growth for our Energy Management and Smart Buildings business. You will lead a team of c.40 people with full P&L management.



Responsibilities

-Lead, mentor, and drive a cross functional team to deliver our energy management services (Energy Performance Contracts / Embedded Energy Managers).

-Explore, challenge and redefine our existing processes to streamline and improve service for our customers.

-Responsible for delivery of contract obligations (SLAs & KPIs) for customers in a wide range of sectors; commercial, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, telecoms, data centres.

-Objectives and Key Results (OKR) will be on contract performance, mobilisation time, customer satisfaction, and the financial performance.

-Regularly report on contract progress, operational performance, and financial results to senior management and key stakeholders.

-Collaborate with operational and functional colleagues across other areas of the business to achieve shared objectives

-Encourage innovation and new thinking to expand how technology can be further incorporated into our current proposition

-Foster a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and coaching to develop capability across the team.

-Will be on the EPC Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and actively contribute to guiding the future direction of the business.



Experience

-+10 yrs experience in an operational energy management role

-Had responsibility for annual energy budget of >£10m and/or Profit & Loss annual account.

-Role requires a strong level of technical expertise and a commitment to deliver value for our customers.

-Managed multi-disciplined teams across a number of sectors; data centres, commercial, telecoms, rail industry, manufacturing

-Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams and build capability

-Strong knowledge of building services: HVAC, BMS, lighting, renewable generation, chillers

-Comprehensive understanding of energy usage patterns and trends

-Ability to be adaptable, identify opportunities and develop solutions to customer problems.

-Excellent influencing and negotiation skills

-The ability to work under pressure in a calm and positive way and to show empathy for your people, your clients, and your service users

-Desired chartered energy manager/engineer or similar
