Summary

St Andrews Music Participation (StAMP) is the award-winning outreach programme located in the Laidlaw Music Centre at the University of St Andrews. We believe in the transformative power of music and create high quality educational and musical experiences for children, young people, and communities across Fife. Our activities connect people, support wellbeing, and help participants develop skills for life that support their musical and personal goals. StAMP regularly collaborates with academic colleagues combining disciplines to spark curiosity and explore new ideas.

Current projects include StAMP Brass with The Wallace Collection, reinvigorating the culture of playing in brass bands through education and community development, creative composition in schools with the ABRSM, singing sessions for people living with dementia and their carers, and The Musical Universe - exploring astronomy with composition in P5-7 classes.

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative graduate musician looking for their first job in the arts industry to join our team for one year. The postholder will develop the skills required to devise and deliver a range of music projects in the community in a supported role. The Fellowship can be flexible and tailored to suit the musical background and discipline of the post holder and will allow for some project design and implementation during the year.

The Outreach Fellow will be based at the Laidlaw Music Centre in St Andrews and travel across the region for project delivery.
