Summary

Guild Care is looking for an enthusiastic Volunteering Development Coordinator to help support the expansion of our ever-growing group of charity shops. We are looking for an individual who can use their own initiative to drive forwards our volunteering recruitment project and training program.

Location: Worthing, West Sussex
Salary: £25,799 per annum
Hours: 35 hours, full-time

Responsibilities:

Coordinate volunteer recruitment for retail and transport units
Provide learning activities and volunteer management guidance
Establish positive relationships with volunteers
Match volunteers to services effectively
Support the implementation of the Volunteer Strategy

Main Duties:

Respond to volunteer enquiries, interview, and make referrals
Audit volunteer recruitment practices
Engage volunteers in decision making
Promote volunteer involvement and address problems constructively
Deliver induction training and maintain training records
Maintain volunteer database and produce reports
Ensure volunteers are aware of relevant policies and maintain regular communication
Support in hosting annual volunteer events and initiatives
Liaise with volunteering agencies and promote Guild Care
Attend out-of-hours events to promote volunteering
Act as a contact point for schools and colleges for work experience

Essential Candidate Criteria:

Experience in recruiting and/or supervising volunteers
Development of training programs and recruitment strategies
Good IT and administration skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Flexibility and ability to build relationships

Desirable Candidate Criteria:

CIPD or equivalent qualification
Experience in HR or recruitment
Database experience
Voluntary sector experience
Experience working with individuals with Learning Disabilities
Car driver with access to a vehicle for business purposes
