Summary
Night Shift Mechanical Fitter
Our client, a major supplier of timber-based products to construction, packaging and fencing throughout Scotland and the UK is looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter within their facility to deal with maintenance, fitting, refurb, and repair of a variety of electro-mechanical systems.
The Roles
This role requires applicants, who are able to strip, fault find, maintain, and repair mechanical systems, such as hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes and conveyors that you would find in a fast-moving production environment. The role involves the repair of our client’s equipment in the workshop or production line to help maintain the production process. To do this applicants should have a sound understanding of Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Chains, Conveyors, and Gearboxes and be able to both dismantle and repair this kind of mechanical equipment. Applicants with a depth of fault-finding and repair experience within rotational equipment who are working in a workshop environment or heavy production based service/repair type role would be of great interest.
The Person
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a strong mechanical or multi-skilled engineering track record, applicants that hold mechanical qualification and are experienced in service, repair and fault-finding would be ideal. We are looking for applicants to have a sound understanding of mechanical systems. Applicants working within this industry presently would be best suited to this role as would applicants looking to return to this market. Experience of working for or with large and small end-users or for other mechanical service providers is important for this role, as is the ability to work autonomously and under your own steam. A steady career history will aid to the credibility of the successful applicant’s application.
You will receive a package based on a good basic salary, £36-41k + OT, Pension, and holidays.
