Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and creative Technician to support our Art and Drama departments. Key responsibilities include maintenance and organisation of Art rooms and equipment, administration and support for teaching colleagues and students.
The successful candidate will have excellent practical and organisational skills, be confident in the use of ICT (including Adobe Creative Suite) and have an interest in the visual arts. Applicants should have a relevant A-level (or equivalent) in an Arts subject as a minimum. A degree in Visual Arts would be desirable but is not essential. Previous experience of working in an educational environment or in the visual and/or creative arts industries would also be an advantage. Excellent interpersonal skills, an awareness of health and safety issues and the ability to gain job satisfaction from a range of tasks that support the department are all important qualities.
Hours: This is a part-time role working 32.5 hours per week during term-time.
Salary: circa £27,958 per annum FTE depending on experience. (Actual salary: £17,600).
The school offers membership of a competitive contributory pension scheme which includes employer contributions of 10% and death in service benefit.
