Your new role
Your new role involves supporting families and customers who have escaped domestic violence. Your day-to-day duties are as follows.

Emotional Support:
You'll be a compassionate listener, providing emotional support to families and individuals who have fled domestic violence. Your empathetic approach will help them cope with trauma and navigate their difficult circumstances.

Risk Assessments / Safety Plans:
Conduct thorough risk assessments for each client. This involves evaluating the level of danger they face, identifying potential threats, and understanding their unique situation. These assessments guide your support strategies.

Connecting with Services:
As a bridge between survivors and resources, you'll connect them with relevant services. This might include shelters, legal aid, counselling, and medical assistance. Your goal is to empower them to rebuild their lives.

Collaboration with Authorities:
Work closely with law enforcement, social services, and other agencies. You'll share information, advocate for your clients, and ensure a coordinated response. Collaboration is essential for effective support.

Case Management:
Manage a case load of medium-risk clients. This involves tracking their progress, assessing changing needs, and adjusting support accordingly. You'll be their advocate, helping them access housing and prevent homelessness.
